The Orion StarShoot AutoGuider Pro Mono Astroimaging Camera is designed and created for AstroImagers who are ready to step up to the next level in guiding accuracy and multi-purpose imaging versatility. With its amazingly high sensitivity QE of 74% and 1280x960 (1.2MP) resolution, details will become sharper and with greater contrast, even in individual exposures. This highly sensitive monochrome imaging device is primarily designed for precise autoguiding, but it also performs as a high-quality multi-tasking astrophotography camera. It also includes a built-in ST-4 port and a slim design for easier use in conjunction with off-axis guiders. The Orion StarShoot Autoguider even has a 10-minute maximum exposure time, allowing it to perform basic deep sky imaging of fascinating objects such as galaxies and nebulas equally well. Because the StarShoot AutoGuider Pro features a monochrome imaging chip, you can control and experiment with different balances of LRGB and narrowband filters to accentuate details.
To make the package as "imaging ready" as possible, Orion has included the AstroCap software that is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 (32 and 64 bit versions) . Features like focus aids, histogram, exposure and gain settings, and auto dark frame removal are included with this software as well as ASCOM drivers. Included accessories are a filter-threaded 1.25" nosepiece, parfocal ring, USB cable, secure RJ-11 autoguider cable, and a foam-lined case.
