Robtics | Astrophotography Astrophotography is the art of capturing the beauty of all those amazing objects of the night sky. There are two basic types of astrophotography: short-exposed astrophotography or lunar- and planetary astrophotography and long-exposed astrophotography or deepsky astrophotography.

A lot of different equipment can be used for astrophotography. With a simple DSLR and a steady photo-tripod amazing pictures can be taken from the milkyway, constellations and startrails. A telescope and a good equatorial mount are needed for more detailed astrophotography. Specific astro CCD camera's and filters can show objects that are impossible to see by visual observing. Autoguiding makes it possible to make astrophotos with exceptional long exposure times with pinpoint stars.
