Robtics | MountsA telescope is only as good as its tripod and mounting. A telescope is used to view and magnify objects in the sky. Unfortunately it also magnifies vibrations. A telescope mount has two primary functions:

  1. Support the telescope firmly so that objects can be viewed and photographed without vibrations
  2. Provide a system for smooth controlled movement to point and guide the instrument

There are two major types of mounts for astronomical telescopes: Alt-azimuth (AZ) and Equatorial (EQ).

Alt-azimuth (sometimes called alt-az) is the simplest type of mount with two motions, altitude (vertical) and azimuth (horizontal): thus the name Alt-azimuth. Good Alt-azimuth mounts have slow-motion knobs for making precise adjustments, aiding smooth tracking across the sky. These type mounts are generally good for terrestrial observing and for scanning the sky at lower power but not for deep sky photography. Some Alt-azimuth mounts are now computer driven and allow a telescope to track the sky more accurately. This is generally good for visual use but can lose tracking on longer exposure astrophotography.

Equatorial mounts are superior to non-computerized Alt-azimuth mounts for astronomical observing over long periods of time and absolutely necessary for astrophotography. As the earth rotates around its axis, the stationary stars appear to move across the sky. If you are observing them using an Alt-azimuth mount, they will quickly float out of view in both axes. A telescope on a properly aligned equatorial mount can be aimed at a celestial object and easily guided either by either manual slow-motion controls or by an electric motor.

Both Alt-azimuth and Equatorial mounts can be with a GOTO-system. The mount has been motorized and a database with celestial objects can locate any object with a push of a button.

Deze kleine telescoop kan hele mooie foto's maken van de zon, de maan en heel veel deepsky objecten. De telescoop is niet zo geschikt voor planeten en kleine neveltjes (zoals de ring nevel). De chip in de telescoop is relatief klein, erg grote nevels moeten in meerdere stappen genomen worden en later tot een panorama foto worden samengevoegd (zie de Orion nevel en het Andromeda sterrenstelsel. De foto's komen het beste tot hun recht als er wordt nabewerkt in bijvoorbeeld Siril. Deze telescoop is niet geschikt voor mensen die willen kijken door de telescoop of voor mensen die graag alles handmatig doen. Deze telescoop doet het grote werk voor je (object zoeken, platesolving, opnames maken etc.) en dat doet ie heel goed!

Geweldige telescoop om mee te beginnen. De telescoop heb ik gekocht op advies van Robtics. Niet gewoon verkopen, nee doorvragen wat ik ermee precies wilde gaan doen. Ditzelfde geldt voor accessoires. Als iets niet geschikt is wordt dat je dat keurig medegedeeld dat je dat beter niet kunt doen. De besturing van de montering gaat via een app SynscanPro die ik op een iPad heb. De app stuur ik aan met de Joycon controllers van een Nintendo Switch via bluetooth. Optisch zeer scherpe beelden van o.a. de maan en planeten. De volgstand werkt perfect. Kortom ik ben zeer tevreden over deze set en over de service van Robtics.

Snelle levering en goede follow up van het Robtics team op emails ! Heel blij met deze smart telescope. Heb ook een 120mm APO refractor op EQ-mount maar die komt nog maar zelden buiten. Seestar S50 werkt super, en met korte waarnemings sessies al heel goede beelden. Inderdaad wat post-processing nodig om alle details uit de beelden te halen maar dit vergt niet zoveel werk en is vrij makkelijk. In bijlage paar fotos na post-processing van de Seestar beelden en nog op learning-curve dus het kan nog beter.

Wat een geweldig apparaat! Dit is mij eerste telescoop, dus vergelijkingsmateriaal heb ik niet, maar ik ben blij dat ik deze telescoop gekocht heb. Het gebruikersgemak is geweldig. Via een app bedien je de telescoop. Aangeven wat je wil zien, hij gaat richten en niet veel later kun je genieten van de schitterende sterrenhemel! Wat je moet realiseren is dat er 2 Megapixel foto's uit komen. Dus verwacht geen Hubble-achtige foto's voor op je 4K scherm. En je moet wat energie steken in de na bewerking van de foto's om de mooiste details naar boven te brengen. Dan gaat er geen wereld, maar gaat er een heelal voor je open! Het is verslavend om weer het volgende onderwerp op te zoeken. Ik had nooit verwacht dat ik vanuit mijn achtertuin (in de lichtstad) de manen van planeten, de mooiste nevels en sterrenstelsels te zien zou krijgen. Soms heeft het apparaat zijn nukken, niet alles lukt, maar over het algemeen is het echt indrukwekkend wat je (voor deze prijs) krijgt.

ik kocht dit instrument om een portabel instrument te hebben om o.m. mee te nemen op verlof. Twee weken na bestelling (was even niet op voorraad) kwam het toestel toe. Monteren ging vlot (en ik ben geen handige Harry) en dan was het wachten op eerste heldere avond om het instrument uit te testen. Aligneren gebeurde snel en daarna fout op goto geëvalueerd. Dit bleek ca 30 boogminuten te zijn. Aligneren dan herbegonnen en een kruisdraad oculair gebruikt. Fout op goto verminderde naar 15 boogminuten. Eerste waarneming dan gedaan op Jupiter. De motoraandrijvingen werken prima. Heel scherp beeld, de maan zijn overduidelijk kleien schijfjes en heel veel detail te zien. De centrale verdonkering van de rode vlek was mooi te zien. ik gebruikte wel Televue oculairs: delite 18.2mm, nagler 9mm en radian 6mm. Denk dat het gebruik van high end oculairs aan te bevelen is. De delite 18.2mm kocht ik recent bij Robtics en dit oculair is echt top. Ik vergeleek het met mijn Ethos 17mm (die wel bijna 3x zo duur is). Het beeldveld is inderdaad kleiner bij het delite oculair maar het beeld is even scherp. Dit oculair is echt een aanrader. Ondertussen blijft het hier maar bewolkt maar kijk er naar uit om verder met het instrument waar te nemen. De 10inch was een compromis kwestie van gewicht. Ik heb geen sterke rug en die 10inch kan ik alleen monteren/demonteren zonder problemen.

Ziet er prima uit de koffer en de pluk schuim was makkelijk te hanteren Na aanschaf van de Sky-wachter startravel 102 de binnenkant op maat gemaakt en de kijker past er precies in Ook bij ander websites gekeken, maar er kwam dan nog de BTW prijs erover heen en de verzendkosten en daardoor waren andere merken prijzig en bij sommige zat er geen plukschuim bij Dus Robtics gaf de doorslag

Een droom die uitkwam. De opbouw was heel eenvoudig en binnen een uurtje stond hij. Ik ben hem zelf op wezen halen en wat een prachtig winkeltje en super vriendelijke en kundige mensen werken daar. De koffie was heerlijk en na het zien van wat er allemaal te verkrijgen is gaat de droom nog mooier en groter worden. absoluut 5 sterren waard. Dank jullie wel voor de hartelijke service.
