Lunt Calcium-K (Ca-K) Solar Telescope - LS60TCaK/ B1200FT
A complete telescope with 60mm aperture for observing the sun in the light of the Calcium-K wavelength. With B1200 Blocking filter that provides a smaller vignetting for imaging, and Starlight Instruments 2" Feather Touch focuser!
The LS60TCaK is a complete Solar Telescope for observing the sun in the light of the Calcium-K line (Ca-K) . The refractor based system has a precision aligned Ca-K optimized doublet achromat with 60mm aperture and 500mm focal length. Internal narrowband filters allow for a <2.4 Angstrom bandwidth.
Blocking filter is the B1200, that provides a smaller vignetting for imaging. The star diagonal in which the blocking filter and the Ca-K filter are installed, is equipped as standard for 1.25" eyepieces and with a T2 camera connection. Fine focus adjustment is achieved with a high precision Starlight Instruments 2" Feather Touch focuser with 10:1 reduction.
The Ca-K wavelength is at the edge of the visible light spectrum for human eyes, so for many people visual observing is difficult. However, all details could be captured photographically. Therefore the LS60TCaK is optimized primarily for imaging.
