Star Diagonals provide a user-friendly observing position for refractors and Cassegrain telescopes. The 3" Explore Scientific Diagonal Mirror is precision machined from aluminium and contains carbon fibre parts. The large diameter of 3"(76.2mm) is ideal for modern wide angle eyepieces, such as our 0218430 Explore Scientific 100° Ar Eyepiece 30mm 3", which (thanks to the size of this diagonal) can be mounted in suitable instruments, without vignetting occurring. The dielectric coating delivers 99% reflectivity and is very durable against environmental influences. A reducer to 2"(50.8mm) is included. We offer adaptors for a wide variety of focusers. Please call or email us for prices and availability of these adaptors. The required light path of the diagonal mirror is 170mm. Telescope side connection thread after removing the 3" sleeve is an M75 x 0.75 female thread.
