ZWO Pier Extension 200mm for ZWO AM3/AM5 Mount, iOptron and Sky-Watcher 1.75" Tripods - ZWO PE200

This pier extension from ZWO is designed for use with the ZWO AM3 and ZWO AM5 mount and the ZWO carbon fiber tripod. Made from aircraft-grade aluminum, this pier extension can resist high temperatures and wear. An impressive payload capacity of 110 pounds (50 kg) rounds out its features. The pier extension is lightweight, at only 3.5 pounds (1.6 kg).

Installation to the AM3/AM5 is easy: simply attach the pier extension to the tripod, set the AM3/AM5 mount on the extension and tighten the locking knobs!

The ZWO pier extension is also compatible with 1.75" steel tripods from iOptron and (with the included adapter plate) Sky-Watcher.

Lastly, the tube of the pier extension can be removed and replaced with a set of 3 thin ZWO pillars (sold separately). This effectively converts the pier extension to a portable PE160 for easier transport, although this will reduce the payload capacity to 28 pounds (13 kg).
