2. Observing a planet with this apochromat is no less than an absolutely amazing experience. Compared to most mirror systems, you will see more detail and with better contrast - a planet which simply looks much sharper. And that which is true for planets is of course also valid for star clusters or other deep-sky objects.
3. The reason for this is one of the best optical systems that we know of. A triplet lens with an OHARA FPL 51 and an FPL 53 element eliminates chromatic aberration completely. This sets the basis for this refractor to take captivatingly beautiful and exclusive astronomy photos.
4. The image definition of Apos is much better than that of mirror systems as they have no OTA obstruction with its associated deterioration in intensity distribution of the Airy disk. Especially for small contrast differences, the refractor is an unbeatable tool.
