New Askar products: SQA Astrographs

With SD quintuplet Petzval lens design the Askar SQA series astrographs offers excellent optical performance with excellently built mechanics. Askar SQA astrographs are available in different focal lengths and apertures offering a very interesting range for the high demanding amateur astronomer.

Askar SQA55

SQA85 has a 55mm aperture with 264mm focal length at F4.8. The self-flattening Petzval lens design supports a 44mm Full-Frame image circle. SQA55 can be used for astrophotography as well as daytime photography!

Askar SQA85

SQA85 has a 85mm aperture with 408mm focal length at F4.8. The self-flattening Petzval lens design supports a 44mm Full-Frame image circle with a central RMS star size of only 1.6μm. Stars at the corners of a full frame sensor are tiny at just 2.5μm.

Askar SQA106

SQA85 has a 106mm aperture with 509mm focal length at F4.8. The self-flattening Petzval lens design supports a whopping 55mm image circle with a central RMS star size of only 1.7μm. Stars at the corners of a larger than full frame sensor are super tiny at just 2.2μm.
