Roll-off observatories are a definite cost-effective alternative for those who do not want, or for whatever reason, cannot have a dome. This type of observatory has all the advantages of a clamshell dome: a vast and almost unrestricted night sky and easy operation.

A roll-off roof observatory is the ideal observatory for your own garden or for astronomy club observatories. In the form of a small cabin, it blends inconspicuously and aesthetically into the landscape and when the roof is rolled off, it offers the best sky-view imaginable!

Control systems can come with USB or Ethernet ports for PC control and remote operation.

The Dome Parts Optical GreenLine MINI-32 observatory is a sturdy roll-off observatory that comes standard with a manually operated roll-off roof. Of course the GreenLine MINI-32 can be upgraded with motorization and automation. Simply add the optional roof drive and control system and you can use the GreenLine MINI as a fully remote observatory! You can also operate the roof with a push of a button. Dome Parts optical offers control systems with USB and Ethernet ports for PC control.

With its spacious 1.60x1.60M floor space, telescopes of 10-12 inch on a steel pier fit the GreenLine MINI-32 well. We advise our optional wood treatment to prepare the observatory against weather, fungi and insects.
