Unlike cheaper clamshell designs, our 0.5 metre sliding shutter opening provides more protection for you from cold winds and annoying stray light. The dome rotates on the base using 8 rollers, with side 8 thrust rollers and brackets that keep the dome in position, and prevent removal. The aperture lid is a simple roll off design. The small number of components make the observatory easy to use and completely maintenance free and weatherproof. Suitable for telescopes up to 12 inch Aperture.

Customer Requirements: The customer will need to provide a level concrete base to ensure secure fixing and dome operation.

The 2.2 Metre observatory dome is constructed of glass fibre. Dimensions are as follows:
