All-In-One Imaging, Guiding, and Smart Control

The ASI585MC Air combines three astrophotography accessories into one unit: a main imaging camera, a guide camera, and a smart controller. Aside from a telescope and mount, this camera contains everything a beginner imager needs to get started in astrophotography at an affordable price!

Imaging Camera

The ASI585MC Air features the versatile Sony IMX585 sensor, which is capable of both deep sky and planetary images in the same sensor! Typically, most cameras only excel at one or the other, but the ASI585MC Air can capture both thanks to its just-right sensor size and fast frame rate. Whether you're into deep sky, planetary, or solar astrophotography, the ASI585MC Air is an excellent choice.

Guide Camera

Just above the main camera's imaging sensor, you'll notice a smaller guide sensor. This highly-sensitive ASI220MM guide camera allows you to simultaneously image and autoguide (stay locked on your target) at the same time, which normally requires two separate devices! This setup is perfect for beginners or traveling astrophotographers wanting to keep things simple.

ASIAIR Smart Controller

The ASI585MC Air contains a built-in ZWO ASIAIR. This smart controller device allows you to control every aspect of your telescope, mount, camera, guiding, and more all from your smartphone or tablet. Thanks to the onboard WiFi antenna, you can comfortably capture the cosmos from inside your home or vehicle while streamlining your astrophotography rig with fewer cables.

Versatile Imaging Possibilities

Deep Sky Objects - With the IMX585 sensor plus the built in guide sensor and cooling fan, capture stunning views of deep sky objects in sharp detail and minimal noise!

Planets - Unlike most other cooled cameras, the ASI585MC Air can capture the planets with ease thanks to its high frame rate mode!

Moon & Sun - Capture incredible details like craters on the Moon even with small telescopes with the IMX585 sensor's narrow field of view!

Full Control Of Your Astrophotography Rig

With the built-in ASIAIR smart controller, you can effortlessly control your telescope, mount, camera, guiding, and more all from your smartphone or tablet. The ASIAIR also features a sky atlas with over 4.000 targets, seamless connectivity to the ZWO EAF electronic focuser, live stacking ability for quick imaging sessions and public outreach, and works with virtually any equatorial mount!

4K Sony STARVIS Sensor

The ASI585MC Air features a Sony STARVIS 2 camera sensor, which are excellent for low light for astrophotography. It also sports an ultra-high 4K resolution which looks great on any screen and is even print ready! Technical imagers will appreciate the 1/1.2" sensor size, 2.9 micron pixels, and back-side illuminated (BSI) sensor.

Ready for Astro Accessories

Featuring 1x USB-C port, 2x DC 12 volt 3 amp ports, and 4x USB 2.0 ports, the ASI585MC Air comes equipped to attach nearly any accessory you'd like to connect! Seamlessly connect to a ZWO EAF electronic focuser, ZWO CAA rotator, dew heater band, or a ZWO AM5N or AM3N mount.

Built-in 256GB Storage

With 256GB storage, you can save thousands of images before running out of space. When you're almost full, simply connect the ASI585MC Air to your computer with the USB-C port. With speedy read and write speeds, you can transfer your images to a computer and clear space for your next string of clear nights.

Dual Connectivity with WiFi & Bluetooth

The ASI585MC Air comes standard with both WiFi (5g + 2.4g) and Bluetooth connectivity, making it easy to connect to your smartphone or tablet! Select accessories, like the ZWO AM5N mount, can also wirelessly connect to the ASI585MC Air. With Station Mode, you can connect to a WiFi network to image from anywhere in the house.

Built-in Cooling Fan

With its two-stage TEC (thermoelectric cooler) fan, the ASI585MC Air keeps the Sony sensor up to 35 degrees Celsius cooler than the ambient temperature. This greatly reduces noise (grain) from your images, resulting in a much cleaner overall image compared to a non-cooled camera like a DSLR or mirrorless camera.

Easy Post-Processing and Sharing

With live stacking, watch the image of deep sky objects like nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters come to life as each new exposure automatically stacks onto the previous one! When you're ready to share, make edits using the built-in brightness, contrast, and saturation tools in the ASIAIR app and post to your favorite social media apps.
